Written for [info]jaesu_challenge with the prompt 'The way you (never) looked at me' and this quote:

{"You know, I used to spend every day thinking about you and dreaming about you. And every time you walked by I lost myself. Do you know what that feels like? You couldn’t possibly know what it feels like to have that person not have the same feelings back. Look, I’m sorry if you miss the way I looked at you, but I don’t miss the way you never looked at me."

Title: Lukewarm
Pairing: Jaejoong&Junsu
A/N: First attempt at a drabble (which is so hard to write! lol)
Wriiten for [info]jaesu_challenge

Jaejoong, ice cold water no one dares to touch.

The ice around his heart no one dares to disturb.

Junsu, the water that’s waiting to be released from the red tap.

He searches for warmth pass the ice and cold water.

It exists somewhere within, he knows.

He’s brave enough to search, shards of ice melting away.

As boiling hot touches freezing cold it hurts for a moment.

Needing time to adjust.

Not too long.

Finally, opposites attract.

Creating the warmth needed.

The love needed.

The heart waiting for someone brave enough.

The brave enough waiting for the right heart.

There on the old pine table laid a beautiful set of lyrics.

Words that had been perfected over years.

The series of prose produced by the skilled.

Each sentence that told a story.

Each verse that people respected.

All it need was the perfect melody.

Elements that was compatible.

A composition that could support such words.

Something that no other composer could produce.

The best.

Years of searching led to nothing.

No composition was right enough.

Each tune was good but not great.

The sudden frightening feeling of not finding the perfect melody dawned.

Where such gorgeous lyrics would be forgotten as newly written material piled on top.

Getting higher and higher.

As this particular sheet of words grew older and eventually drift out of their memory.

Forgotten.

Perfect took time.

Time was what a particular composer had.

Pen hanging loosely over their mouth.

Fingers dancing upon black and ivory buttons.

Scribbling over countless number of music sheets.

Days turned into months and months turned into years.

When finally as the pen slammed done onto the glossy surface of the piano.

It was finished.

Each note paired with each lyric.

The moment the first key was played as the first word was sang.

A match made in heaven.

The start of a blossoming relationship.

The pair was flawless.

The melody supported the lyrics to its fullest, forcing himself to go that extra mile.

She held each note beyond what she was capable of.

They produced a song that was a pleasure to listen to.

Emotions ran wild.

Music critics were speechless.

They were what this industry needed.

The perfect partnership.

The perfect couple.

The perfect melody.

In the midst of the abandoned hill lay a wishing well.

A blank canvas, the pure, clean water. Transparent.

It is contaminated with two beautiful colours once again

A place where these two forms of human expression meet.

Every meeting they express a new shade of colour.

A few weeks ago, a drop of blue and yellow into the water of the deep dark cavern and it instantly merges together and lights up into a bright surge of green.

It was a day filled with laughter, the brightness overshadowing the shade of the grass, the trees, the flowers.   Their fifth meeting.

One month ago, trickles of red and blue blended into a royal purple, the blue having a little more control than the red. Taking her on a journey into an ideal world where it was going to be the beginning of something new.

The instant attraction, the colours were made for each other creating such a beautiful shade.

They meet for the tenth time today. Two shades of red merging together forming a deeper shade of the same colour.  A burgundy red.

The colour of passion, love.

It starts out as transparent canvas and eventually it changes.

Constantly changing.

The beginning, transparent.

Ideal world, purple.

Fun, green.

Passion, red.

The end, black?

Never will these two colours merge in a form of darkness, black.

Black is simply a tone, never a colour.

A tone that deepens, the ‘black’ that people believe is just a darker shade of a colour.

A darker shade of passion, a darker shade of love.

So if it ends, isn’t it transparent again?

The slate is clear for a new set of colours to take over.

However two months on and the red is deeper than ever.

The green is brighter.

The purple is more intense.

Each day the drops of emotion blends, creating a new shade every minute, every hour, every day.

It differs; no two colours can blend into the same shade more than once.

The extent of their love is never the same, it either gets weaker or stronger but the colour is always there.

The promise these colours make, emitting from within.

The ever-changing colours of their heart free a whirlwind of emotions.

Although every meeting is a different colour, the significance is the same.

The significance? Love.

The colour of love.

She bites off her blood stained leather gloves, her solid red lipstick contrasted with the leather, stuffing them into her matching leather jacket, her heels echoed as she struts along the empty street. )
